Santa Visits 2024
Bring the magic of Christmas into your home!
Santa will be visiting the Daniels Run Woods neighborhood on Thursday, December 12 and Saturday, Dec 14 from 5-8PM. Santa makes these special visits before Christmas to children that have been especially good this year. Create a memory of a lifetime for your little believers when Santa comes walking through your front door bearing gifts! Here’s how it works:
1. Click on this link to sign up for a time slot: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeMzWC7zHWtozLHP7fPQ4-jyqB0Qu8t9bpqihY1FOBA0T366w/viewform
2. When submitting your request, it is very important to include details about your child that Santa should know. He will use this information when he meets your child. (ie. Loves to play Roblox, favorite color is pink, has a favorite teddy bear named Buck, etc…).
3. One of our Daniels Run Woods community elves will contact you via email to finalize and confirm your visit date and time.
4. Advanced Prep Work: Each host family provides the gift. Select a small gift that the child has asked for. Giftwrap it, including a gift tag with the child’s name and “From Santa”. Leave this gift on your front porch before your scheduled visit so that when Santa arrives, he can put it in his toy sack before he comes in.
5. Each visit is between 10-15 min long (depending on the number of kids).
6. Please keep your child/children away from the front windows around the time of your planned visit, so they don’t see Santa’s 4-wheeled “sleigh”. Also, please keep pets away during this visit. Have your cameras ready.
7. When Santa arrives at your home, he will put the gift/s in his sack and will ring his sleigh bells before he rings the doorbell (or knocks). Open the door and Santa comes through with a toy sack over his shoulder! Make sure you have cameras ready to capture this priceless moment.
8. Please make sure to have a place ready for Santa to sit (and easy to rise up from). A seat next to the Christmas tree makes for great photos!
9. From his seat, he will visit with each child and will personalize the encounter using the details that you’ve shared about your child when you registered. This is a great time to tell Santa everything that you want for Christmas!
10. He will confirm that your child is on the good list and will receive a gift from his toy sack (the gift that you have provided). If you don’t provide a gift, this part is skipped. The child can open their gift- another good photo opp.
11. Santa will reserve a few minutes for photos with Santa. Try your hand at a family selfie with Santa! Santa is visiting kids all over the world so he can’t stay too long, but he’s thoroughly enjoyed his visit and hopes your child does too! It’s not unusual for the kids to want to follow Santa out, so please help with distracting the kids to allow a safe and quick exit for Santa.
